In the 1960s, the newly established Zapruđe neighborhood was filled with young people. Today, it is a community of older residents and people with disabilities. Yet despite these changes, oases of humanity still exist within it. One such oasis is the Tereza tailoring salon, whose owner, a skilled seamstress, has long been more than just a craftswoman. While she once created the most demanding fashion pieces, she has since adapted to a more modest clientele and now primarily focuses on clothing alterations. However, her salon has become much more than a tailoring workshop – it has become a refuge for women from the neighborhood, often lonely and facing life’s hardships. Tereza welcomes them with an open heart, offering compassion and conversation, transforming her space into a place of warmth and support.
