Filmolimač is a unique educational program designed for preschool-aged children, with the aim of fostering film literacy from the earliest years. The program brings the experience of watching films, along with guided activities related to film language and cinematic art, directly into early childhood education and care institutions.
Before children even have the chance to go on a field trip to the cinema, Filmolimač brings the cinema to them: program leaders visit kindergartens equipped with the necessary equipment and expertise, creating a safe, familiar, and stimulating environment in which children can experience film as a cultural event for the very first time.
Filmolimač is not intended solely for children – it also serves as training for their educators. Program leaders prepare materials in advance and maintain active communication with educators, involving them in every phase of the program. In doing so, educators gain tools and knowledge that empower them to independently carry out similar activities even after the project concludes, further strengthening their competencies in the field of film literacy.
