Slowly Nowhere

This experimental-narrative film follows its main characters, Oleg and Marta, using the technique of variant repetition – the same event is shown twice in a row, with the second instance altered. Oleg is a visual arts student struggling with drug addiction, while Marta is a librarian addicted to many things. A romance develops between them, constantly shifting in form, with their portraits shaped like mirrors of one another, deepening the complexity of their relationship. Through a unique narrative structure, the film leads us through episodes of wandering the neighborhood, intimate moments, drunkenness, promises, and confrontations with death, exploring the fragility of emotion and identity.
