Foreclosure

The lengthy process of foreclosure – heavily spiced with administration, lawyers, written warnings, notices, lawsuits, and countersuits – is the daily reality of the Medak family. Throughout this foreclosure procedure, which threatens their basic existential living space, the tenants became so immersed in their struggle that they no longer registered the very act of filming. The viewer is drawn into a psychological marathon – a battle of exhaustion, false or genuine hopes to postpone the inevitable, and yearning for last-minute salvation. A threatened space. A threatened family.
