In time

In Time is a series of film episodes set in and around dance clubs and schools in Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, and Slovenia. The film crew attended dance classes and participated in competitions over two years with the intention of making a film in which everyone is both actor and author. The entire process was documented on video to help reconstruct selected moments using the footage and their own memories, transforming them into cinematic events. Each episode focuses on a particular event or its retelling, where experience is turned into narrative. The film negotiates between the choreography of grammar – its expression in discourse – and performance in the narrativization of experience.
