Horror Vacui

The term horror vacui, the fear of empty space, is used as a metaphor for the fear of an uncertain future that generates feelings of anxiety and loneliness. Through long, associatively linked sequence shots, the film draws attention to the growing militarization of the world and its effects on the human psyche. As the film lacks clear markers of time and place, it suggests that in a globalized world, anything can happen – anywhere, at any time.
