Cinema Club Karlovac is a youth association that has been engaged in audiovisual activities since 2002, promoting film and video culture and related arts in the area of Karlovac and Karlovac County. Cinema Club Karlovac passes the love of film across generations by creating space for stories and creative freedom.
Members of the Cinema Club Karlovac nurture long-term and participatory approaches and are dedicated to all collaborators who jointly build the club as a reference place for educational work (primarily) with youth.
Key projects can be divided into festivals (Youth Film Revue, Four River Film Festival, co-organized with Croatian Film Association, FUSE - Film Under Severe Experiment, Stop Motion Scene) and events (River Cinema, FilmEk - Film Eco Camp, European Film Week, Easter Film Events, etc.), as well as educational programs such as seminars and workshops (Film Art Course, Workshop for Educational Workers, etc.).
Since 2012, Cinema Club Karlovac has been a co-founder and member of the international network of festivals and organizations, Youth Cinema Network.
Since 2023, it holds the quality label “Skockano” — a set of standards and criteria ensuring the quality of its informal educational programs, awarded for its long-standing Film Art Course.
