Osijek Cinema Club

Kino Klub Osijek was founded in 2024 with the goal of enabling systematic, year-round, and free film engagement in Osijek. The importance of the club’s existence has been recognized through its connection with Filmska RUNDA, a showcase of Croatian short films in Osijek, and through the growing interest among adults in Osijek to engage in filmmaking. The club aims to promote amateur filmmaking, audiovisual culture, and film activity in Osijek and the surrounding region. The long-term goal of Kino Klub Osijek is to create and nurture an authorial scene in eastern Croatia, as well as to provide conditions for professional development—educating and training members who will then educate future members. Kino Klub Osijek organizes a range of events, from introductory film education programs (teaching participants how to think about film and film language, as well as how to operate equipment), to film analysis, author evenings, and advanced film workshops, with the goal of teaching participants how to carry their film ideas from concept to finished film.

• Encouraging members and providing conditions for the creation of amateur films and video works across all genres
• Production of artistic films, including those eligible for public funding

• Organization and implementation of beginner, advanced, and specialized film-video workshops in the field of film art and related media
• Screening achievements of both national and international professional and amateur cinematography (classical cinematheque programs)
• Hosting visits from renowned amateur and professional filmmakers, TV professionals, and related authors
• Participation in national and international film and video festivals and reviews
• Preserving significant film works from the club's history
• Organizing the club’s own film and video festival
