Ogulin Cinema Club

Ogulin Cinema Club was founded in 2021 with the aim of promoting film and video culture as well as audiovisual creativity among youth and the wider community. Before operating independently, it was active within the Public Open University Ogulin. Today, in the same space, it organizes workshops for children, youth, and adults, weekend meetings, and a Film School for high school students (supported by HAVC – Croatian Audiovisual Centre). The club is especially notable for its work with young filmmakers whose films have been screened and awarded at domestic and international festivals such as the Dubrovnik Film Festival, First-Time Filmmaker Sessions, Buffalo Roots Film Festival, and Four River Film Festival. Cinema club regularly organizes various workshops on photography, camera work, lighting, and screenwriting, and in 2024 it hosted the 56th Review of Croatian Film Creativity. The club continuously develops collaborations with cultural and educational institutions and systematically supports new generations of filmmakers through education, mentorship, and production support.
