Photo-Cinema Club “Baranja-film” Beli Manastir is a non-profit citizens’ technical culture association that gathers individuals interested in photography and film (video), ranging from elementary school age to adult members. The club encourages and supports their work organizationally and professionally; contributes to the education of leaders and members of photography and film groups; organizes presentations and appreciation of photographic and film (video) works by its members; and takes care of preserving and protecting the best photographic and film (video) creations by its members.
The club was founded in 1981 as part of the local organization of the Socialist Youth League of Croatia, transformed into a social organization in 1990, and in 1997 was organized as a Citizens’ Technical Culture Association. Over the years, around 600 members have participated in various club activities, which have reached an even larger number of beneficiaries.
The club is a member of the Croatian Photo Association and the Croatian Film Association since 1998 and fulfills its goals as a full member of the Technical Culture Community of the city of Beli Manastir.
Currently, around 20 younger and adult members are actively involved in photography and film (video) within the club's planned activities.
