“Children and Film” Exhibition within 54th Croatian Children’s Film Festival

Exhibition “Children and film” brought us selection of posters for children’s films created between 1953 and 2006 as well as insight into a genre where numerous unknown authors as well as professional artists such as Ferdinand Bis, Andrija Maurovič, Mirko Ilić and Radovan Domagoj Devlić have left their mark.

Exhibition opening was also the final act of the follow up program of the 54th Croatian Children’s Film Festival in Makarska and materials used for the exhibition are property of Croatian Film Archives at the Croatian National Archives.

Opening of the exhibition was held on a Saturday October 8th at the „Antun Gojak“ City Gallery in Makarska. Visitors were greeted by the gallery director Josip Karamatić while Udruga Dokuma secretary Josip Vujčuć read a message from Mladen Burić from the Croatian Film Archives and presented the exhibits. Final word came from Nikola Erceg from international children's jury at the 54th Croatian Children's Film Festival who opened the exhibition and promised to bring Children's Film Festival to Makarska in less than 32 years.
