Official competition films selected for the 54th Croatian Children’s Film Festival
Selectors for 54th Croatian Children’s Film Festival were editor Slaven Zečević, film critic Diana Nenadić and Croatian language professor and long time educator from Gunja, Josip Krunić. In words of Diana Nenadić, while selecting films, selectors were only looking at submitted films (and not names of authors), how valuable they are and should other people see them as well. She pointed out that it might seem that some clubs had special treatment, but that is only because some were extremely productive and were submitting over 15 films at the time so, of course, more of them made it into official competition. Those are clubs with longer tradition such as Foto kino video club Zaprešić, Creative Film Studio Vanima, SAF Čakovec and recently Blank_film incubator. By comparing the quality of the story, technical details and films as a whole, 83 films were selected out of 195 submitted ones that will be in the official competition and will travel to Makarska.
