Women in Iranian Film

Program of Iranian Films II, Film Programmes, 8-13 March 2006

Essayistic review of Iranian women directors’ films presented as part of Film Programmes (Pouran Derakhshandeh, Ensiyeh Shah Hosseini, Leila Merhadi, Ferial Behzad) and about Iranian cinematography in its social and political context in general, with special accent given to the position of women authors and generally the position of women in Iranian society. The text also gives us the review of the reception of Iranian films to date in Croatian repertoire cinema and — much rarely — in regular cinema program.
