ZagrebDox — 2nd international festival of documentary film
The text attempts to discuss the growing phenomenon
of geographical and thematic spreading of film festivals
in Croatia and increasing attendance which is in apparent
opposition to decreasing cinema attendance and the closing
of cinemas and video clubs in the province. The other phenomenon
mentioned is the overall popularity of documentary, reality (real)
forms, their influence on the reception of reality, and the
understanding of general cultural craving for documentaries.
Still, the largest portion of text covers the program of
the 2nd international festival of documentary film in Zagreb
(ZagrebDox), accompanied by an aesthetic, and social deconstruction
of featured films.
