THE CALL FOR ENTRIES FOR THE 15TH YOUTH FILM FESTIVAL AND THE 3RD FOUR RIVER FILM FESTIVAL IS OPEN

In September of 2010 we will be in for another edition of the Youth Film Festival and the Four River Film Festival, the essential event for high school film in the region. The 15th YFF and 3rd FRFF will be held for the fourth and third time respectively, in the city on four rivers – Karlovac, and will be organized jointly by the Croatian Film Club’s Association and the Cinema Club Karlovac. Last year’s festival welcomed over 150 high school student and their mentors, as well as over 4000 residents of Karlovac. This sets the bar of success very high and presents the organizational team with a challenging task for this year’s edition.

The call for entries is open until 1st June, both for the national (YFF) and for the international (FRFF) selection, while authors between the age 14-20 are eligible to apply with their works in four different categories: fiction, documentary and animated film, as well as the open category. The selection committee comprised of: Boško Picula and Vjekoslav Živković will choose the best ones to compete for the grand prix and other prizes within the main program of the YFF and FRFF. Former Grand Prix winners are today mostly successful students of the related academies, the Academy of Dramatic Arts and the Academy of Fine arts, which only demonstrates the quality and importance of this festival.
