An Interview with Lars von Trier

Interview with Lars von Trier was conducted during the editing process of Manderlay in the Danish film town of Filmbyen. After having seen the rough cut, Trier talks about Dogville, inspiration for Manderlay, his »American trilogy« and the third part (Wasington), about working with Nicole Kidman and Bryce Dallas Howard, his political incorrectness, screenplays he writes to pay off his tax debts (Dear Wendy), problems he had at the academy, and about his relationship with actors.
